The devices, announced ahead of Microsoft’s Build conference, bring Copilot+ to more users at lower price points while emphasizing portability, battery life, and new Windows 11 AI features.

Microsoft is doubling down on its AI-first hardware vision with the launch of two new Copilot+ PCs: a 13-inch Surface Laptop and a 12-inch Surface Pro, both powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Plus processors. The devices, announced ahead of Microsoft’s Build conference, bring Copilot+ to more users at lower price points while emphasizing portability, battery life, and new Windows 11 AI features.

Surface Laptop, Surface Pro: Pricing

Microsoft has not yet revealed the prices for India. In the US, the Surface Laptop 13 starts at $899 whereas the Surface Pro starts at $799.

With universal USB-C fast charging and being Microsoft’s thinnest laptop yet, the new Surface Laptop is said to have the longest battery life of any Surface device. Its 13-inch frame houses enough performance for productivity, content creation, and AI-assisted workflows.

In the meantime, the redesigned 12-inch Surface Pro packs a Snapdragon X Plus processor into a 1.5-pound tablet with a detachable keyboard and adjustable kickstand. A nod to more integrated, mobile-first design thinking, Microsoft’s Surface Slim Pen now magnetically attaches to the device’s back.

In addition, the Surface Pro Keyboard gets a new look with a matte palm rest, full-size backlit keys, and a precision touchpad that can be customized and has adaptive touch for better accessibility.

These launches coincide with the upcoming wave of AI-native experiences in Windows 11, including a new Start menu with phone syncing, AI-driven actions in File Explorer, and smarter features across Photos, Notepad, and even Paint. Microsoft is also enhancing Copilot’s functionality with more context-aware commands and expanding its role across system settings and productivity tools.
